We love to meet new people and are privileged to receive regular recommendations of new patients from our current clients. In fact, we encourage everyone who sees us to tell their family, friends and colleagues about our Practice. This gives them confidence to laugh and smile and talk, freedom to eat what they choose rather than what they can manage and the option of improving their smile if they wish.
Your first visit is designed to give us a better understanding of your needs. Please download and complete the Medical History questionnaire and remember to bring it with you to your visit!
You will be welcomed by one of our front desk team who will go through the questionnaires with you. If you are unable to complete the forms before your appointment date, just arrive 10 minutes early and we will be happy to go through them on the day. Please remember to bring a list of any medication that you are taking.
Your dentist will complete a thorough examination during which they will check the teeth, gums and jaw joints. An oral cancer screening of the lining of your mouth, including your lips, cheeks and tongue will also be completed. Low dose digital x-rays will be taken together with photographs as required. Intra-oral cameras can highlight any features for discussion. The initial consultation normally takes around 40 minutes to complete.
In more complex cases you may be asked to return for a review appointment with the dentist once the case has been assessed in more detail.
We will clearly explain any findings and make recommendations if treatment is necessary. All options will be discussed to allow you to make an appropriate and informed choice. We will provide you with a clear, detailed, printed treatment plan and estimate and you will have the opportunity to ask further questions if you wish.
