What are Implants?
Dental implants are used to replacing missing teeth. They are like man-made 'roots' which are surgically placed in
the jaws, with crowns on top so that they look and feel just like ordinary teeth.
They are not ideal for every case, but if your mouth is healthy and there is enough of the right type of bone to
support the implants they are an excellent replacement.
If you choose to have implants, you will undergo surgery twice or more over a period of several months, and they
cost around £2500 each.
We have a specialist implantologist who we work with on implant cases. Usually, the 'Root' part is placed and
allowed to heal for six months and then the crown is attached.
If maintained properly, implants can last a lifetime.
